Frederick Place Meal: On November 22nd, the menu will be Cajun Beans, Rice and Sausage, Cornbread, Fruit Salad, and Bars (suggested are apple, pumpkin, or custard). The sign-up sheet to bring ingredients is on the kiosk.

Christmas Poinsettias: Hopefully, everyone has seen the information regarding Christmas Poinsettias in the November Chimes, which was distributed last week. If you wish to donate any poinsettias for this, please turn in your order to the office by Tuesday, November 18th. Refer to the order information in the November Chimes! Community Table: November 11th is the Community Table meal. The signup form for bringing items needed is on the kiosk. Please sign up and bring meal items by Monday, November 10th. We are expecting a good crowd for the wonderful turkey dinner. More workers are needed also.

Aluminum Cans Collection: The easy money earned is not easy when other items are in the bag, like bottles, pie tins, etc. Please rinse your cans and let them dry before adding them to your bag. The recycler takes only the cans. Tell your friends please.

Tom’s Community Table: Tuesday, November 11, at 5 PM at St. Matthias will be the traditional Thanksgiving Meal that we host and serve with Ascension. Sign up for items on the kiosk. You may also make donations toward turkey and potatoes. Worker sign-up will also be posted. This is usually a well-attended meal and Paul’s chef skills are tasty, especially the wonderful stuffing. Hot apple cider will be a special treat.

All Saints Sunday: Next Sunday, November 2nd, is All Saints Sunday, when we will be honoring those who have passed since the 2024 All Saints Sunday. If there is someone you would like added to the list of names that will be read, please let the office know, along with the name of the person who will be lighting the candle for them (you or someone else).

Bake & Craft Sale: Thank you to the bakers, workers, and customers.
The Scandinavian Bake Sale and Craft Sale was another hit. Those of us lucky enough to get baked goods know how delicious they all were. Our profits were: $116 for Community Table; For crafts $586; for WELCA from baked goods $1,343.25 and for Scandinavian souvenirs $140.75 was donated.
Altar Flowers: Flowers gracing the altar today are in loving memory of Donna Stephan from her children.

Garden News: The garden season has come to a close. Cranberry mulch has been delivered to help nourish the soil for the next season’s growth. 8976 pounds of produce were sent to the Pantry in 2025!

Guest Speaker: Today we have a guest from Caritas. These volunteers meet weekly with people who are struggling with issues of housing, inadequate employment, transportation, medical bills, and various issues in contemporary life. You can be of assistance in this ministry.
Fall Conference Gathering will be held this afternoon at 1 pm here at Calvary. Pastors and leaders from the seven conference congregations are coming together to learn about what is going on in our Synod and to hear about congregational activities.

Food for Kidz: Last Saturday, the high school was a very busy place. 530 volunteers packaged 245,550 meals that went to our local food pantries and to farther away places that provide packaged meals for those in need. Thank you to all who worked and supported this major community effort.
